Trisha Leda Nayanatara Movie Review

Trisha Leda Nayanatara Movie Review: A Bold Sex Comedy

G V Prakash, music director turned actor, who is trying to test his waters in Telugu, is here with his latest offering Trisha Leda Nayanatara. Before you watch the flick read the review here to know what is in store for you.

Trisha Leda Nayanatara Story: The films is all about a youngster, who is desperate to lose his virginity and is in search of a girl of his likes. He falls in love with his childhood friends twice only to be dumped later, complaining to oblige his wants. Did he find his love of his life? What is it he need to go through in the process forms the story.

Performances: G V Prakash though looked very amateur, he managed to pull of the role with his decent acting skills. Anandhi was good as the girl next door while Manisha Yadav made sure to add the oomph factor. Though you will not have any complaints about Simran's performance, you will surely end up wondering what actually excited her to take up the role.  Technical Aspects & Analysis: Written and directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film features some crude characters of youngsters while the portrayal of women was exaggerated. Though there weren't any explicit romantic scenes as it was publicized, cringe worthy double meaning dialogues did the job. G V Prakash's background score added the pep to the script and can ignore the fact that there were too many songs. The writing seems to generalize a lot of things and some more attention and a holistic approach to the subject may have improved matters. There are quite a few scenes that seem to have escaped the scissors. Camera work and production values demands a mention.

Dongata Telugu Movie review

Dongata has finally hit screens with a perfect release. Lakshmi Manchu is producing the film and her daughter Vidya Niravana is presenting the film for the first time. Let's see if the baby doll has brought in any luck to this 'Santoor mommy'.  Dongata Story: It tracks the story of an actress, Shruti, played by Lakshmi Manchu, who gets kidnapped. Who planned the abduction and why? What made the kidnappers take that drastic step and what exactly happened between Lakshmi Manchu and the kidnappers post kidnap forms the crux of the story.

Performances: Lakshmi Manchu is quite a revelation in film. Along with her acting prowess, she attempted to prove many other skills she posses. She plays an action heroine in the film and her fight scenes appear pretty natural since she has taken a special training in stunts and kick boxing prior to the film. Lakshmi earned some brownie points with her comic timing though she has to improve a lot on her Telugu diction. Apparently, Lakshmi Manchu proved that she is blessed with multiple talents by crooning a song. Adivi Sesh, Madhu Nandan and Prabhakar were apt enough for their roles. One to mention here is Brahmanandam since he stole the entire show undeniably. Every scene he appeared was laugh riot.  Jaya Prakash Reddy, Madhu, 30 years Prithvi, Pragathi and many more seasoned comedians and actors made Dongata a hilarious watch with their antics.

Technical Aspects: Director Vamsi Krishna seems to have concentrated more on the extra elements of the film rather than the main ingredients that are required. Dongata lacks interesting screen play though it has few twists in the tale. Hence falls flat after a point and It gets too predictable in the second half. But interesting first half, few funny scenes and good dialogues kept it going. Music by Sai Karthik, Satya Mahaveer and Raghu Kunche is quite impressive. Yendiro song in the first half and Pub Mix song with all the stars in the second half, fetched in some whistles from the masses. Cinematography of the film takes the pedestal.  Overview: With a tinge of sentiment and drama and tons of comedy content, Dongata passes off the litmus test. Finally, Lakshmi Manchu scored an impressive comedy entertainer in her kitty. Go give it a watch.

Oka Laila Kosam Telugu Movie Review

Hi Friends, Write your own Genuine opinion about Oka laila Kosam Film. Write After you watched the movie only. Dont write seen reivews in various websites, Because they write favour reviews only one perticulor Hero. u know the Mega secret.

Karthik (Naga Chaitanya) is he who loves the very word Freedom for the first few minutes (so that there can be had a number on freedom), then starts loving exclusively the Laila of his life, albeit his less-than-normal attempts to catch her (two times, he seems to lose her out because he is not willing to run much) look contrived so as to make it possible to have a remix song reminding us of Balu but not ANR.  Finally, there is one funny maternal uncle (played by Ali) who comes with a frivolous past and who now wants to play the spoilsport to no meaningful filmi effect.

Nandhini (Pooja Hegde) is she who hates flirts so much so she doesn't even clearly say why she hates a flirt when a known flirt (real or presumed) and his family tell her "I (We) love you".  The film goes on and on till the day she discovers the diary (err.. book) with the ultimate secret.

Karthik and Nandhini come from lovely families and they can't do anything that causes trauma to their respective elders.  Nandhini is caught in a quandary as her father's liking for Karthik makes the things all the more difficult.  Sayaji Shinde as her father gets to play yet another routine role, even as Suman as Chai's father doesn't make an impact.

In a normal world, a normal girl shouldn't find much difficulty talking to a boy from an extra-respectable family the reason why she finds it hard to accept him.  It is inconceivable why such a boy shouldn't be able to convince her of his honesty and decency with so much of human resources and his own artistic brain at his disposal.  Of course, he does visually and metaphorically display his love for her but the fundamental vacuity persists in the audience's mind all through.

Coming from a big banner, OLK boasts of excellent cinematography.  The songs are picturized well and given the weakness of the script, they are well conceived.  Chai's improvement shows itself in all of the songs and Pooja's gorgeous looks add to the grace of each song.

A bevy of comedians struggle to make us laugh. Ali, Vennela Kishore, Sathyam Rajesh and others are seen in

Puli Movie Review

Puli was the original title of the film but was later changed to Komaram Puli, obviously to appease the 'T' agitators. Puli is an ideal police officer who has nothing on his mind but duty coupled with moral policing, he believes that the police needs to be policed first and instills a sense of discipline in his department. The trouble starts when Al Saleem a don parks his car in a no parking area and is fined by Puli, this hurts the don because it's just not the car that has been seized but his prestige too. In this course of interrogation, Puli gets to know that this don has a nexus with a dreaded terrorist Nixon who has sent a few men to the country through forged documents to create mayhem and commit a few murders. Now the aggrieved seek solace and Puli opens the case, and in the course of cracking the puzzled relationship between Nixon and Al Saleem, he gets to know a damning truth. Now what is it?

For a film being advertised as a hi-tech action thriller, Puli is over-the-top in spirit. It doesn't have an extraordinary story in the first place, and the makers aren't very subtle while narrating it. Unsubtle plus stupid - now that is shaky ground for a star to throw himself onto, 2 years after his last project.

Pawan Kalyan has put on some weight and grabs the opportunity to play the role of a police with panache. All his songs/dances are an absolute treat especially the number 'amma thale' and 'power star'. There are quite a few inspiring monologues that he reels off without even a slightest pause but you need to concentrate to follow it, he is so swift in his delivery, he suddenly breaks into a telangana dialect. His sincerity is visible and the role suits him to the hilt but if he continues to take three long years for every film, it will be the age that becomes visible. The action scenes and body language will make his fans go into frenzy and the romance between the debutante and him is silly but entertaining. The hero whose heart triggered a conflict in Kushi while gaping at women's midriff, makes him go weak, stammer, stutter and meow like a cat in one similar scene.

The hero is introduced to us in the form of his hapless and pregnant mom's puke. This is when an uneasy curiosity about what else this movie will bring to you sneaks up menacingly onto you. However, Pawan Kalyan's fans know that it's him in the womb, and start cheering.

So Komaram Puli (Pawan Kalyan) is this incredible award-winning super cop. He tells the government that if he's given a team and enough resources, he'll ensure that he will resolve every single police complaint made by citizens in every single lane in every single colony in every single city in every single state in every single country on every single planet. Alright, we admit we're exaggerating - he stopped at either "colony" or "city", we forget - but we're sure he did mean to zoom all the way up.

The film shows us a couple of examples of how amazing this team (the "Puli Team") is, and before you can savour some genuinely impressive and touching moments of Gandhigiri, it quickly moves on to the actual story. Al Saleem (Manoj Bajpai) is a don who wields power over the entire state - it's political leaders, even - and Puli runs into him when investigating the case of a police officer who went missing a couple of years ago.

Komaram Puli should have stuck to the Puli Team concept, at least to logically complete the fantasy. Pawan Kalyan delivering passionate dialogues of righteousness and duty is indeed absorbing and stirring, and this is what the film should have exclusively capitalized on.

Instead, it moves on to an ordinary plot of the hero trying to get even with the villain. All the slick gadgetry and quick-paced action slowly feels shallow because nothing impressive is happening to the story except for the dialogues. The violence doesn't dominate the script, but its intensity does.

Strangely, Al Saleem doesn't even seem all that evil to you, since he's not given a chance to be, thanks to how much the hero is all over the place. Al Saleem is painted as an absolutely eccentric character, one that is intended to be funny but that makes you feel sorry for Manoj Bajpai beyond a point.

Nikesha Patel oozes oomph, looks hot and attractive, she sizzles in her reasonably adequate role given to her. Manoj Bajpai impresses once again, the scenes between him and Pawan Kalyan are engaging, but the dialogue that steals your heart comes from Puli's mother Saranya while in a discussion with Nasser. About the film Komaram Puli, everything goes fine but towards the second half of the film the content flounders. It is from one villain to a non existing one and from a non existing one to three more people that the hero needs to bump off and the finale is abrupt. Leave the impossible intro and the disappointing finale and enjoy the middle, that is you will learn to enjoy the film if you identify with Puli's character and commentary than with SJ Surya's story telling technique. You walk away enjoying Pawan Kalyan's work but the film gives you a feeling that somewhere towards the end the director lost interest.

The romance is led by a nymphomaniacal heroine brought in from the '90s, but this one's not even pleasant. The woman (Nikesha Patel) is capable of stooping to the worst kinds of emotional blackmail to marry her man, and while she's not being sleazy, she's being so dumb she insults even the hero's intelligence.

Pawan Kalyan, like we said, is all over the place. That's not a bad thing to happen, but his all-consuming energy seems to serve no purpose beyond a point. His dialogues are lengthy and delivered at a frightening pace, and it does get monotonous.

For Manoj Bajpai, playing a caricature evidently isn't tough job. Ali has a tiny comic track. The heroine has some stunningly bad lip-sync going for her, even in the songs. Surprisingly, all throughout the songs, she looks about as disinterested as an extra.

Rahman's music has, in all probability, grown on you by now. However, the picturization and the choreography of the songs are dampeners when compared to the sheer variety in sound that the man delivers in a couple of them.

We're sure several have vowed to watch this flick regardless of how it may turn out to be, but if you aren't among them, there's not much reason to join the rushes for Puli.

Gayam 2 Movie Review

Director Praveen Sri reportedly narrated an action subject and it impressed Jagapathi Babu so much as it was prepared as a sequel to his career-best action film Gayam. With no second thought he agreed to do the flick. Praveen Sri is a protégé of Ram Gopal Varma. Of course, the action scenes in this film remind us the old film Gayam and the story was perfectly mixed to make everyone believe that the story is a continuation of Gayam. However, what exactly the director wanted to convey to audiences was a big question mark which remain unanswered.

Buzz up!
Story:
Ram (Jagapathi Babu) is a restaurant owner in Bangkok. Ram leads his life happily with his wife Vidya (Vimala Raman) and adopted son Chaitanya. One day, psychopath killers attempt to molest a female worker at Ram’s restaurant. To protect her, Ram shoots them. This rescue turns Ram a hero before the media.

Gurunarayana (Kota Srinivasa Rao) shocks to see Ram who is quite similar to Durga (Jagapathi Babu), an arch-rival, who was declared dead long ago. Gurunarayana’s son Shankar Narayana (Kota Prasad) leaves for Bangkok along with their lawyer saab (Tanikella Bharani) to find out whether he is Ram or Durga. Shankar Narayana kidnaps Chaitanya. This irks Ram and opens up his identity by injuring Shankar Narayana and killing a person just in front of Vidya.

Lawyer Saab takes away Shankar Narayana back to India. Vidya deserts Ram as he concealed his identity that he was once a killer and goon. But the Bangkok police officer of Indian origin (Jeeva) convinces her that Durga turned Ram and leading a normal and peaceful life only to keep himself off from bloodshed. Then Ram reveals his flashback to Vidya. At a time when it is going to be a happy reunion, again Gurunarayana’s men attack Ram and his family and Chaitanya gets badly injured.

In order to put a fullstop to the bloodshed, Ram decides to go to India as Durga and clear off the rivalry with Guru Narayana. He sends Vidya and Chaitu to the police officer’s house and returns to India. What happens next should be seen on-screen.

PERFORMANCE:
As Jagapathi Babu played the role earlier, he doesn’t need a mention about his performance. He has maintained the same tempo and intensity in this film too, despite the fact that the earlier version was released in 1993 (i.e., almost 18 years ago). The ageing factor however could not be hidden as Jagapathi Babu’s aged skin is clearly visible in close-up shots. Vimala Raman is okay in her role. She has shown her oomph, and was very romantic in one song with Jagapathi Babu. She is sensuous and seductive in that song. Kota Prasad has given show stealing performance. Kota Srinivasa Rao and Tanikella Bharani has given their best performance. Other artistes including Harshavardhan, Jeeva, Ravi Kale, have done their justice to their respective roles.

TECHNICAL Values:
Cinematography by Anil Bhandari is adequate, while editing by Praveen Pudi is impressive. Music by Illarayaraja needs a special mention. Though the background score is excellent, the tunes provided for the songs could have be done better if the maestro would have concentrated a little more. Action scenes by Ram-Lakshman are good to watch. Dialogues are good in parts, while screenplay by Rajendra Reddy is the soul of the film. Generally directors from Ram Gopal Varma school, will bring out either a super hit or super flop films. But, Praveen Sri has maintained good grip on the story and Rajendra Reddy supported him with perfect screenplay. However, the director should have used his brain, while bringing out a film. But in this case, it appeared that Praveen Sri straightly lifted a few scenes from a Hollywood film A History of Violence to complete the first half. And the second half is almost similar to Gayam.

ANALYSIS:
The director and producer should be complimented for portraying the present political situation on the screen perfectly and the audiences would definitely equate Kota’s character with KCR in several scenes. Though it is a coincidence, the film had many similarities to the present political turmoil in the state like Telangana stir and others. Though the action scenes in the film are okay, it is just not known what the director exactly wanted to tell the audiences with this film.

Cast: Jagapathi Babu, Vimala Raman, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Tanikella Bharani, Kota Prasad, Ajay, Jeeva, Harshavardhan, Ravi Kale, Tarjan, Raghunatha Reddy, Master Pavan Sriram and others

Happy Happy Ga telugu movie review

Movie : Happy Happy Ga
Rating: 1.75/5
Cast : Varun Sandesh, Vega, Sharanya Mohan, Ali, Ravi Shankar, M S Narayana
Directed by : Priya Saran
Produced by : Vadlamudi Durga Pras
Banner : Ocean Movies
Music : Mani Sharma
Release Date : 2010-08-20

Story:

A triangular love story among three young hearts is basically the story of Happy Happy Ga. Santosh (Varun Sandesh) is a romantic at heart who falls in love with every girl he sees. Pooja (Vega) does not believe in love as she has seen her parents get divorced despite being in love before marriage. Her uncle and aunt keep fighting even though theirs is a love marriage and so Pooja keeps away from loving anyone. Priya (Sharanya Mohan) is unknown to love, when she gets to know about it she is fully committed and she shows true love. Love is all about being true to one self and the other. The confluence of these three ideologies forms the story. The picture revolves round Santosh and his happy go lucky attitude and his blind love for Pooja.

Artists Performance:

Direction is loose and wayward. The story does not create any interest and runs on expected lines. Varun Sandesh tries everything in the book to keep the audience engrossed, but he does not lift the spirit of the film. The less said about heroine Vega the better. She is a flop show. Sharanya Mohan looks cute, but that is where she begins and ends. Ravi Shankar as villain is ineffective and bizarre. Comedy by Ali and M S Narayana is stale and expected.

Plus Points:

Varun Sandesh's acting and dancing.
Sincerity in effort!
Clean move, no Vulgarity.

Minus Points:

Weak direction and screenplay!
The ending is unexpected and is an anticlimax. Confused conclusions drawn.
Too many twists at the end!
Casting misplaced!
Music and lyrics dull!

Analysis:

The naming is a misnomer. There is more sadness in the film than happiness. No nativity means audience will avoid this film. Love stories need good music, but the music is average except for one song. Camera angles look feeble and out of focus. Screenplay is amateurish and archaic.

Verdict: Avoid this film; there are better things to do in life than bearing this sadness.

Story

maryada ramanna Ramu (Sunil) is a hard-working youngster from Hyderabad. He is forced to visit his village in Rayalaseema to sell off his land so that he can invest that money to buy an auto. On his way to village he meets a beautiful girl Aparna (Saloni). Ramineedu (Nagineedu) is a landlord in that village and is obsessed with providing great hospitality to his guests. Due to certain circumstances, Ramu goes to the house of Ramineedu as a guest and Aparna is the daughter of Ramineedu. Ramineedu in the past had few family feuds with Ramu's family. Ramu is not aware of this flashback. Since Ramineedu is known for his hospitality, he doesn’t want to kill Ramu while he stays in his house. The rest of the story is all about how Ramu escapes from his death trap.

Artists Performance

maryada ramanna Sunil: We have always seen Sunil doing slap-stick comedy with into-your-face antics in his past movies. He is completely fresh and acted like a normal actor in Maryada Ramanna. He gave a natural and controlled performance. It is tough job and Sunil perfectly executes it. His dances are amazing in two songs and his body language during dances resembles that of Chiranjeevi.

maryada ramannaOthers: Saloni is refreshing in this movie. She is pretty good. Dubbing done by Sowmya is excellent. New actor Nagineedu impresses with his looks, voice and acting. Brahmaji gets another interesting character in this film after Athadu and Ek Niranjan. Supreet is nice. Rao Ramesh and Kanchi are loud in the movie (may be character demanded it). Anuj Gurwara (Panchadara bomma singer) acted in a small role. A special mention should be given for Ravi Teja who gave voiceover to Sunil’s cycle.

Technical departments

maryada ramannaStory - screenplay - direction: Story of the movie is simple and wafer-thin. It needs tremendous skills to pen screenplay for this story. Rajamouli comes up with a fabulous job in screenplay department. 70% of the movie takes place in a house. Hero wants to stay in house as villain wants him out of the house. There are three points of view in the story and Rajamouli clearly establishes the situation and plays around with these these points of view. The usage of cycle thread and sketch book thread is also impact-making. The progression in second half might appear slow because of the nature of the story. The director made sure that there is something in climax to make this movie worthwhile. Direction of the film is good. But, Rajamouli couldn’t get some of the scenes right in the movie (example: Kanchi comedy episode in train). The change of heart for Brahmaji also appears forced.

maryada ramannaMusic: I should give 50% of the credit for the feel in the movie to the music and back ground score. The flashback scene in the beginning of film would have been routine and boring but for the bit song composed by Keeravani. All songs in this movie are good. Keeravani used words in the background score to get the desired impact.

maryada ramannaOther departments: Dialogues by Kanchi are neat. Cinematography by Ram Prasad is very good. Sunil never looked so handsome in his earlier movies. The house set constructed by art director Ravinder is excellent. Choreography is excellent. CG work is neat (especially fireflies). Editing is fine. Proper care was taken for costumes and styling by Rama in order to make the artists look natural.

maryada ramannaAnalysis: First half of the movie is good. Second half is neat. Climax has right emotions to make the audiences come out of the theatre

with a good feel. The progression in second half is slow because of the nature of story line. The plus points are Rajamouli’s screenplay and Keeravani’s music/background score. We should appreciate Rajamouli who is riding high on success wave to choose a movie like Maryada Ramanna and directing it. This movie is not without it’s share of flaws, but they fade away because of the treatment given by Rajamouli. I would dare to call Maryada Ramanna as a musical comedy. Go and watch it.

Maryada Ramanna Review – SS Rajamouli as usual yet anouther HIT for him and Second hit for Sunil as Hero. The story of the movie is Simple, According to Jeevi “Rajamouli has done fabulous job in screenplay department. 70% of the movie takes place in a house. Hero wants to stay in house as villain wants him out of the house.”

Priya Anand, Ram and Bindu Madhavi Guess it will take a while for us to get over the oft-repeated subjects. It’s the hero’s (Ram) brother falling in love with Arjun’s (mafia don) sister and now the onus is on Ram and Arjun’s youngest sister to make things easy for them from elopement to marriage. Also there is an additional responsibility, Ram who plays Ramakrishna has to keep Arjun’s mafia history under wraps when the D day arrives and Arjun’s adversary landing in the village to wreak vengeance.

Such themes have been made and remade so many times that even if it means that director Srivass had treated it differently, one can’t but help terming it hackneyed. The music too is repetitive and doesn’t have a single track that is likely to stay on your mind for some time, the songs keep propping up now and then and despite Ram’s indisputable ouevre for dances.

The first half of the film is pretty much engaging but once the line is revealed the viewer loses interest, the climax is lengthy. Srivass puts too much on a little plate, attempts to develop each character logically, there is a small story on Sayaji Shinde, a plot on Arjun on how he took to violence, one on Nasser, two love stories and Raghu, Prithviraj’s rivalry with Nasser, Arjun’s trusted lieutenant and finally a track featuring Brahmanandam meant to provide relief.

All this packaged with songs, dances and the inevitable blasting of cars, stabbing and gun fights. As the story moves from Mumbai to Godavari and back to Mumbai and Godavari, you are treated to the regular dose of romance, light-hearted moments, action, songs but what you can see is the lack of strong emotions. Thankfully the filmmaker didn’t bump off Bindu Madhavi in one of the climax fights and made her take her unrequited love story sportively.

Priya Anand who looked a put on in Leader has improved a lot, she looks simple, plain and pleasing and chipped in a convincing performance, sad to see Bindu Madhavi doing a flimsy role. Should the film taste any success at the box-office the director alone has to take credit for that, for churning a boring affair into a okay watch. This old wine in new bottle has Ram giving a perfectly tuned in performance, he doesn’t look glamorous though and is supported by a spirited Srinivas Reddy and company.

Brahmanandam does cheer up and livens up the proceedings. Arjun gets to play a good part of the film and he breezes through with his experience. Some films are made just to kill time, not to appeal to your intellect, watch it if you’ve genuine fun and belief in that genre.

Ballayya Simha Movie Review

Direction: Boyapati Srinu
Cast: Nandamuri Balakrishna, Nayantara, Sneha Ullal, Namitha etc..
Cinematography: Arthur Wilson
Music: Chakri
Editing: Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao
Theatrical Release: 30/04/2010

Story:

Sensational movie of this summer is ‘Simha’ and its all set to hit the silver screen. Expectations from the audiences are high. Recently, the film went through the censor and few details about the report managed to find their way out…

It is heard that the film has shaped out really well and while the first half goes on in a rather entertaining mode, it is the second half that will steal the limelight. The sources say that about forty minutes of the second half will be rich in graphics and high voltage action.

As it is, there is enough glamour dose in the form of Nayantara, Sneha Ullal, Namitha but more than that, Balayya has reportedly come up with some highlight dialogues that will go well with the masses. From the looks of it, we could be having ourselves a bumper success in the offing.
