Yesteryear actress Leela Naidu passed away

Yesteryear actress Leela Naidu passed away in Mumbai after a prolonged illness. She was 69. The actress was known for her classical beauty in the 60’s and was a much in demand actress.

She was a lead actress in Merchant Ivory productions and in a few films opposite Sunil Dutt. She had a small career before she married Bikki Oberoi of the Oberoi group of hotels.

She later divorced and married poet Dom Moraes, and stayed with him in Hong Kong for about ten years before she returned to Mumbai. The actress would be remembered for her beauty and class by film goers across India!
