Raaka Release Date: Allu Arjun-Atlee Film Eyes Dec 2027

Allu Arjun and Atlee's much-awaited pan-India film Raaka (earlier known by its tentative title AA22xA6) is reportedly targeting a theatrical release on 3 December 2027, with the team currently ruling out any slip into 2028.

As per the latest industry buzz, the film has completed nearly two-thirds of its principal photography, and the remaining schedule — covering core action portions, song sequences, and patchwork shoots — is expected to wrap by the first quarter of 2027.

Notably, post-production on Raaka is said to be running simultaneously with the ongoing shoot rather than starting only after filming wraps, a strategy often used on VFX-heavy productions to manage tight timelines.

If the shoot does wrap on schedule in Q1 2027, the makers would be left with roughly 9 to 10 months for post-production before the reported December 2027 date — a window industry trackers consider workable for a film of this scale, given the extensive visual effects, action choreography, and international VFX vendors reportedly involved.

Directed by Atlee (known for Jawan and Bigil) and produced by Sun Pictures, Raaka marks Allu Arjun's first big-screen outing after the record-breaking success of Pushpa 2. The cast reportedly includes Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Mrunal Thakur in key roles, though the makers have stayed tight-lipped on full character details.

It's important to flag that Sun Pictures has not yet issued an official release-date confirmation — the December 2027 window, and specifically the 3 December date, remains based on trade and industry reports rather than a studio announcement.

Fans should watch for an official statement from Sun Pictures or Atlee before treating any specific date as final.

Key Highlights:

• Raaka is reportedly targeting a 3 December 2027 theatrical release; no 2028 release is currently being planned by the team.
• The shoot is roughly two-thirds complete; remaining work (action, songs, patchwork) is targeted to wrap by Q1 2027.
