Gayatri Joshi who was seen in ‘Swades’ has reportedly got involved in a car accident along with her husband Vikas Oberoi in Italy. Actor Gayatri Joshi, known predominantly for starring opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the 2004 film Swades, met with an accident in Italy while she was travelling with her husband Vikas Oberoi. As per reports, the couple’s car rammed into several other vehicles and a camper van.
Gayatri and Vikas’s car collided with other cars when a Lamborgini and a Ferrari were trying to overtake a camper van, simultaneously on a narrow road in Sardinia. This led to one of the cars hitting the camper van, causing it to overturn. After the collision, the Ferrari caught fire, leading to the death of a Swiss couple travelling in it.
Gayatri reportedly told a news portal, ‘Vikas and I are in Italy. We met with an accident here.. With god’s grace, we both are absolutely fine.’ The accident is believed to have been recorded in a video that surfaced on the internet soon after.

The accident occurred when Gayatri's car collided with other vehicles, including a mini-truck. The collision took place when multiple luxury vehicles, including Lamborghini and Ferrari, attempted they overtake the mini-truck simultaneously, leading it to overturning in Sardinia.
Gayatri and Vikas sustained minor injuries but are safe.
