Back to where it all began - the Isle of Man 🇮🇲
I was born on the island, and coming back with my mum and dad, as well as my boys, Andreas and Oscar, felt like the perfect mix of nostalgia and new memories. We partnered with @visitisleofman and @locateisleofman to rediscover this beautiful island and honestly, it’s still one of the best-kept secrets out there.
We arrived to the warmest welcome, courtesy of @islandescapesim and were treated to a beautiful home-cooked dinner by one of the island’s chefs, made entirely with local, home-grown produce. The next morning, we set off on a boat ride to the Calf of Man… and if you know me, you know I love my wildlife - so photographing puffins, seals, and so many endangered birds along the way was pure heaven.
That afternoon, we went paddleboarding in the sunshine, followed by a beach sauna as the sun began to set. It honestly felt like one of those rare moments where you’re fully present. Just chilled, wholesome, and completely happy. We wrapped it up with sunset drinks at The Cosy Nook, which was the perfect end to a dreamy day.
Our final Sunday morning started with an early pony trek through the hills - just Dre and me… the beautiful untouched countryside and that fresh Manx air was the perfect way to say goodbye.
I know I’m from the island but honestly.. The Isle of Man truly has it all – as the only entire UNESCO Biosphere nation in the world, the small island boasts wild nature, rich history and vibrant culture, slow living, and space to just be. So grateful for this experience, and for the chance to reconnect with my roots ❤️
