Hyderabad - In a gesture of mutual admiration, Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan showered praise on his "War 2" co-star, Jr. NTR, at a grand pre-release event held in Hyderabad on August 10, 2025.
The event, the only promotional gathering for the highly anticipated action thriller, saw both actors sharing the stage for the first time, much to the delight of the massive crowd of fans.
Addressing the enthusiastic audience, Roshan spoke warmly of his experience working with Jr. NTR, whom he affectionately referred to as "thammudu" (younger brother).
He lauded the South Indian superstar's work ethic and dedication, calling him a "one-take final-take star."
"Tarak, I have not just observed you, but I have learnt from you," Roshan stated, revealing what he has imbibed from his co-star.
"I have learnt how to go into a shot 100% — not 99.99%, not 99.999, but 100%. Which is why when he comes out of a shot, there is no judgment on me. He will not even check the shot because he knows he has given everything to it."
Roshan also highlighted the similarities in their professional journeys, which have spanned 25 years, and noted that he sees a lot of himself in Jr. NTR.
He also shared his appreciation for Jr. NTR's resilience, mentioning how watching his co-star work through injuries inspired him.
The camaraderie between the two leads was a major highlight of the evening. Jr. NTR, in his speech, reciprocated the admiration, stating that "War 2" marks Hrithik Roshan's grand entry into Telugu cinema.
He also spoke of his long-standing admiration for Roshan's work.
The spy-action thriller, directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner, is set to release on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
The film also stars Kiara Advani as the female lead.
The pre-release event has significantly amplified the buzz around the film, with fans eagerly anticipating the on-screen chemistry and showdown between the two powerhouse actors.
