The much-anticipated sequel, "Son of Sardaar 2," starring Ajay Devgn, has hit the big screens, and here's a roundup of what you need to know about its OTT release, plot, and other details.
OTT Release Timeline and Platform
"Son of Sardaar 2" will be available for streaming on Netflix after its theatrical run.
An eight-week theatrical window has been established, which means the film is expected to land on the streaming platform in the first week of October 2025.
Plot
This standalone sequel to the 2012 film "Son of Sardaar" sees Ajay Devgn reprising his role as Jassi.
The story follows Jassi as he travels to Scotland to reconcile with his estranged wife (played by Neeru Bajwa).
However, his plans go awry, and he gets entangled in a hilarious mess involving mistaken identities, family drama, and a traditional Punjabi wedding.
In a twist of events, Jassi ends up pretending to be a decorated war hero and the husband of Rabia (played by Mrunal Thakur) to help her stepdaughter marry into a family that values a "top-notch" lineage.
This charade becomes increasingly complicated as he must maintain the facade to avoid the wrath of the would-be groom's dangerous father, Raja Sandhu (played by Ravi Kishan), who has a strong dislike for dancers and Pakistanis, which Rabia and her friends happen to be.
