"SSMB29" Heads to Tanzania for Major Action Sequences in Serengeti National Park

Director S.S. Rajamouli is taking his ambitious project, tentatively titled "SSMB29," to the vast and stunning landscapes of East Africa, with significant filming scheduled to take place in Tanzania's iconic Serengeti National Park.

Recent reports and sightings have confirmed that the cast and crew are gearing up for a major schedule in the region.

Superstar Mahesh Babu, who headlines the globetrotting action-adventure, was recently spotted at Hyderabad airport with his wife, Namrata

Shirodkar, sparking widespread speculation that he was en route to Africa for the film's next leg of shooting.

The production team, which has already completed schedules in locations like Odisha, India, will now capture high-octane action sequences against the majestic backdrop of the Serengeti.

Known for its sprawling savannas and incredible biodiversity, the location is expected to provide a visually spectacular setting for Rajamouli's grand vision.

The film is being touted as a high-octane African action-adventure, a genre not commonly explored in Indian cinema.

Initially, there were plans to shoot in Kenya, but due to internal unrest in the country, the team shifted its focus to Tanzania and South Africa as alternative locations.

Producer K.L. Narayana confirmed that the next phase of filming is set to commence in East Africa, with both Nairobi, Kenya, and Tanzania being part of the schedule.

The film, which also stars Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is one of the most anticipated projects in Indian cinema, with a first glimpse of the movie expected to be unveiled in November.
