The long-awaited collaboration between celebrated actor Venkatesh and acclaimed director Trivikram Srinivas is now official. The project, tentatively titled "Venky77," was formally launched today, August 15, 2025, with a traditional pooja ceremony in Hyderabad.
This marks the first time the duo will be working together in a director-actor capacity, a prospect that has generated significant excitement within the Telugu film industry and among fans.
The launch event was a close-knit affair attended by key team members. Noted producer Suresh Babu switched on the camera for the muhurat shot, adding a special touch to the ceremony.
The film will be produced by S. Radha Krishna (Chinababu) under the prestigious Haarika & Hassine Creations banner, marking their eighth collaboration with Trivikram.
While Trivikram has previously penned the dialogues for some of Venkatesh's most memorable entertainers like "Nuvvu Naaku Nacchav" and "Malliswari," this project will be their first full-fledged feature film together with Trivikram in the director's chair.
Fans are eagerly anticipating how Venkatesh's versatile screen presence will blend with Trivikram's signature storytelling, known for its mix of family emotions, humor, and powerful dialogue.
Venkatesh is coming off the massive success of his last film, "Sankranthiki Vasthunam," which was a blockbuster hit.
Details regarding the rest of the cast and crew for "Venky77" are yet to be announced. Regular shooting for the film is expected to commence soon.
