Ramayana Gets U Certificate With No Cuts Ahead of 5 November Release

Summary:

Ranbir Kapoor and Yash starrer Ramayana has reportedly been passed by the CBFC with a U certificate and no cuts, .

Advance sales are about 1.5 lakh tickets in national chains, with an opening near ₹65 crore projected. The film releases on 5 November.

Description:

Ramayana is now days from release, and the build-up is gathering speed. Bollywood Hungama reported on 30 October that the CBFC passed the Ranbir Kapoor and Yash starrer with a U certificate and not a single cut, which makes it suitable for family audiences and school groups.

The same outlet says advance sales have reached about 1.5 lakh tickets in national chains and projects an opening of around ₹65 crore, though it notes the film trails Dhurandhar 2 at the same stage.

An earlier Bollywood Hungama story had pointed to ₹70 crore, so the projection has been trimmed.

Koimoi's 28 October update put opening-day pre-sales at ₹11.35 crore gross and about 2.08 lakh tickets, fourth among Bollywood's 2026 advance bookings and just behind Border 2.

Overseas, Sacnilk reports North America premiere advance sales have reached 1 million dollars, overseas advance has passed 3.5 million dollars, and it says hopes are building for a 20 million dollar opening.

Rakul Preet Singh's first look as Surpanakha also arrived on 30 October. Advance numbers are estimates and can shift quickly in the final days, so opening projections should be quoted with their source.

Release date is 5 November, per the Bollywood Hungama calendar.
