Actress Mrunal Thakur has put an end to swirling speculation about a romantic relationship with acclaimed actor Dhanush, clarifying that they are simply "good friends."
The rumors, which had been gaining traction on social media for weeks, were fueled by their recent public appearances together.
In a recent interview, Thakur directly addressed the gossip, which she found amusing.
"Dhanush is just a good friend to me. I'm aware that a lot of news has been circulating about the two of us being linked together recently. I just found it funny when I saw it," she stated.
The speculation intensified after Dhanush attended a special screening of Thakur's film, "Son of Sardaar 2."
However, Mrunal clarified that his presence was at the invitation of their co-star, Ajay Devgn.
"Dhanush attended the Son of Sardaar 2 event. No one should misunderstand that. It was Ajay Devgn who invited him," she explained.
