The much-anticipated sequel to the 2018 hit "Goodachari," titled "G2," is set for a worldwide theatrical release on May 1, 2026.
The film promises a high-octane, pan-Indian action thriller on a grander scale than its predecessor.
Lead actor Adivi Sesh, who also penned the script, revealed the extensive production details, stating the film was shot across six countries on 23 lavish sets over 150 days.
This ambitious undertaking aims to create a world of danger, action, and conspiracy, setting a new benchmark for spy thrillers in Indian cinema.
While early reports confirmed shooting locations across India, the United Arab Emirates, and Europe, including Poland, France, and Hungary, the final list of six countries has not been fully disclosed.
The film, directed by debutant Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, sees Adivi Sesh reprising his role as Agent Gopi 116.
The sequel also marks the Telugu debut of Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi, who is set to play the principal antagonist.
The cast is further strengthened by Wamiqa Gabbi, who joins the franchise as Agent 116, along with Murali Sharma, Supriya Yarlagadda, and Madhu Shalini in pivotal roles.
"G2" will be released in five Indian languages: Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
The project is a joint production by People Media Factory, Abhishek Agarwal Arts, and AK Entertainments.
With its international scale and powerful cast, "G2" is shaping up to be one of the most awaited action films of 2026.
