​Indian actor Rana Daggubati made history by becoming the first Indian celebrity officially invited to attend WWE WrestleMania. He was present at WrestleMania 41, held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 19–20, 2025, where he enjoyed the event from the front row .​

Rana, a lifelong WWE fan, expressed his excitement about the experience, stating:

“Being at WrestleMania 41 is a surreal experience—WWE has been a part of all our childhoods. Now, to witness it live and to be able to represent India on a global stage, especially with both WWE and Rana Naidu streaming on Netflix, feels like a full-circle moment.” 

This appearance coincided with the upcoming release of Rana Naidu Season 2 on Netflix, highlighting the synergy between WWE's global reach and Netflix's streaming platform in India .

Prior to this, Rana had collaborated with WWE on various initiatives. In 2021, he served as the face of a WWE campaign in India, promoting the brand across Tamil, Telugu, and English markets . Rana Daggubati clarification on Betting App Promotions

 ​In response to recent allegations regarding the promotion of betting apps, actor Rana Daggubati has clarified his position. According to a statement from his media team, he had entered into a contract to act as a brand ambassador for skill-based games, which expired in 2017. The endorsement was strictly limited to regions where online skill-based games are legally permitted. The statement emphasized that such games have been recognized by the Supreme Court of India as distinct from gambling, being based on skill rather than chance, and are therefore legally allowed. ​

Similarly, actor Vijay Deverakonda's team issued a clarification stating that his endorsement was confined to regions where online skill-based games are legally permitted, aligning with the Supreme Court's recognition of these games as distinct from gambling. ​

Actor Prakash Raj addressed the issue by acknowledging that he had promoted such apps long ago but realized his mistake and terminated the contract a year later. He urged youth not to be influenced by such apps. ​

These clarifications come in the wake of a First Information Report (FIR) filed by Cyberabad police against 25 celebrities and influencers, including Rana Daggubati, Vijay Deverakonda, and Prakash Raj, for allegedly promoting illegal betting and gambling apps. ​
