“Netflix India’s Mandala Murders Trailer Sparks Buzz — Vaani Kapoor Headlines YRF Mythological‑Crime Thriller”

Netflix India is poised to deliver something truly captivating with Yash Raj Films’ new series Mandala Murders, premiering on **25 July 2025. 

Headlined by Vaani Kapoor in her OTT debut as Detective Rea Thomas, the show blends mythological, crime‑thriller, and psychological horror elements into a bold, genre‑bending narrative. 

Set in the eerie town of Charandaspur, the plot kicks off with a chain of ritualistic killings tied to a centuries‑old secret society — unveiling symbols, occult mysteries, and political intrigue that challenge faith and madness .

Co‑directed by Gopi Puthran (of Mardaani fame) and Manan Rawat, the six‑part series promises a first‑of‑its‑kind YRF crime drama with atmosphere and depth rarely seen in Indian storytelling.

Alongside Kapoor, the ensemble cast includes Vaibhav Raj Gupta, Surveen Chawla, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Raghubir Yadav, and Monica Choudhary.

Vaani Kapoor has praised the complex canvas of the series, saying that each character is “carrying something… a secret, a wound, a belief,” which makes the story “unsettling in the best way”.
