Raj Kundra offers to donate his kidney to Premanand Maharaj during Vrindavan visit with Shilpa Shetty: ‘If I can help, one of my kidneys is yours’
During a recent visit to Vrindavan with his wife, actress Shilpa Shetty, businessman Raj Kundra made an emotional offer to donate one of his kidneys to the spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj.
The gesture came after Kundra learned about the guru's long-standing health issues.
The couple was visiting Premanand Maharaj when the spiritual leader mentioned that both of his kidneys have failed, a condition he has lived with for the past decade.
Visibly moved by this revelation, Kundra, who has been following the guru's teachings for two years, made the unexpected offer. In a video that has since gone viral, Kundra can be heard saying, "I know about your health condition, and if I can help, one of my kidneys is yours."
The spontaneous offer appeared to surprise Shilpa Shetty. Premanand Maharaj, while acknowledging and accepting the goodwill behind the gesture, graciously declined the offer. He responded, "It is enough for me that you remain happy.
Until the time comes, we do not leave this world over a kidney. But I wholeheartedly accept your goodwill."
During their visit, Shilpa Shetty also sought spiritual guidance from the guru, inquiring about the practice of chanting 'Radha'.
The visit and Kundra's offer have garnered significant media attention, arriving at a time when the couple is facing legal challenges related to a financial dispute.
Kundra later responded to online criticism, defending his offer against accusations of it being a publicity stunt and emphasizing that his compassionate act should not be dismissed.
