Filmfare awards Best actor Allu Arjun

Allu Arjun walked away with the Filmfare Best Actor Award for his performance for Parugu at the 56th Filmfare Awards 2008 (South) ceremony. The awards presented at a glittering ceremony held at HICC in Hyderabad on Friday night (July 31st, 2009). Stars from Tollywood, Kollywood, Sandalwood and Malluwood descended on to the stage. Gamyam was adjudged as the Best Film and the film’s director Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi wont the Best Director award. Colors Swathi won the Best Actress Award for Ashta Chemma.

Veteran lyricist Veturi Sundararamamurthy was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award. Dasari presented the award to him.
