This sequel to the 1983 classic 'Masoom' will be directed by her father, Shekhar Kapur. Kaveri has previously gained recognition as a singer and songwriter.
In a recent social media post, Shekhar Kapur hinted at his daughter's involvement in the project, expressing the challenge of creating a profound role for her. He shared, "And now as I sit and write 'Masoom - the next generation'... I struggle with her role... how do I create something deep enough for her as an actor... so she doesn’t say to me, 'Daddy! That’s just so silly.'"
The original 'Masoom', released in 1983, is considered a classic in Indian cinema, featuring performances by Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi. The sequel aims to continue the legacy of its predecessor, with Kaveri stepping into the acting arena under her father's direction.
