Amid a growing dispute over the Rs 30,000 crore family business, Mandhira Kapur, the sister of the late industrialist and Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband Sunjay Kapur, has shared a cryptic and emotional post on social media.
The post, shared on Raksha Bandhan, hints at the ongoing turmoil within the family following Sunjay's sudden demise in June 2025.
Sharing a picture of herself with her brother and mother, Rani Kapur, Mandhira wrote, "I relive the moments spent with you, and now,
I find myself protecting what you would have wanted, and what Dad dreamed, though it was always meant to be the other way round.
If you were still here, everything would be different, everything would be better, my dear Bhaiya."
Her message has drawn considerable attention as it comes at a time of escalating tensions within the Kapur family.
The family feud intensified after Sunjay Kapur's death on June 12, 2025.
A significant point of contention is the control of the family's flagship company, Sona Comstar.
Sunjay's mother, Rani Kapur, has been vocal about her concerns, even alleging foul play in her son's death and requesting an investigation by UK authorities.
While a UK coroner's report has since ruled the death to be from natural causes, Rani Kapur has also alleged that she was pressured to sign documents and that her access to her bank accounts was frozen.
The company's board appointed Sunjay's wife, Priya Sachdev Kapur, as a non-executive director, a move Rani Kapur had opposed.
